we consciously design staple pieces that are not trend- or season-specific, focusing on high quality, not quantity. slow and purposeful fashion is incredibly important to sōlo and will continue to make up a large part of our label’s structure and growth moving forward.
our pieces are manufactured in factories that adhere to international standards and are BSCI compliant, meaning that the people who make our pieces work in safe and fair conditions in respect of social, environmental and ethical international quality standards.

]]>Creative director, mum, friend, sister, wife - the many hats I wear on a daily basis and I know I’m not alone. It’s International Women’s Day and what a better way to celebrate all the women doing incredible things on the daily. I’m a true believer in the importance of taking care of yourself especially when you’re going to be taking care of others also. My love for how exercise makes me feel truly was the driving force behind sōlo. It’s the one hour of the day that’s just for me and I’m all about looking as good as you feel.
You can call me; Leesh
Unlike their lengthy counterparts, the legging, bike shorts are a viable option in and out of the gym. Like with many other trends it’s all about having the right styling, the right attitude, and the right pair.
So, how do you do the bike short right? Our advice, the length is everything - there’s a fine line between too short & fashion forward. Being shorts as opposed to leggings, there are endless shoe options to take your outfit from gym to gin. Try pairing your lycra leg lovers with an oversized blazer or hoodie, a simple tee or even a timeless white blouse for an effortless look.

The very essence of sōlo is for you to flaunt the silhouette you work so hard for, not to hide it away! The tuck point allows you to have the coverage of a tank without losing your waist and all the while elongating your legs
.
]]>Introducing our signature sōlo bodysuits and the inspiration behind our name sōlo. The bodysuits were the foundation of the brand and ultimately consist of one garment (‘solo’ referring to ‘one’ or ‘one piece’). We know how irritating it is to have to constantly tuck your top into your leggings at the start of any horizontal sequence, whether it’s mountain climbers or a pike on the reformer. How much easier would it be to move between positions and master your form in a bodysuit? We heard you loud and clear and we’ve got you covered: the sōlo bodysuit is here. Less time altering and more time sweating ladies!
The great news is, bodysuits aren’t just perfect for Pilates, they’re actually ideal for any form of cardio, HIIT or yoga. But most importantly, they give your figure a serious compliment in and out of the studio.
So, let’s style it up!
With the Vertebra Tank
The sōlo bodysuits are designed to allow for a tank to be worn over the top and seamlessly slide into the tuck point at the hips. This look gives you a bit more coverage up top without losing the definition of your waist, all while elongating those legs.
Chambray Shirt
For the ultimate off-duty look, pair your bodysuit with a chambray shirt or denim jacket to take your bodysuit from studio to street. Style over your shoulders, around your waist or tied at the front to mix up your look.
Plain Tee
Layering a simple tee with your bodysuit gives you another fresh look. Pairing an oversized tee and tying it up at the front or utilising the tuck point will keep the definition of your waist pre- or post-sweat.
Chunky Knit
The perfect throw-over for any outfit, but especially for your bodysuit. Pre-studio style just got an upgrade! Don't cover up your silhouette with a daggy hoodie, getting up at the crack of dawn can still be effortlessly styled.

If you thought yoga and Pilates were all about tranquillity and soothing Inca flute-like music, you’ve been living under a rock. Nowadays, you’ll find just as many fist pumping yoga classes as you will Zen ones. Yep, that’s right… Hip Hop Yoga, anyone?
You can guess where this all started. New York City circa a few years ago. But you don’t have to leave Australia to enjoy this heart-racing workout. These days, many classes play modern pop music – attend a Pilates studio now and you can find yourself listening to the likes of Nora En Pure, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, Felix Jaehn, Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers, Beyoncé and many more.
So how does that work with the Zen-like tradition of yoga? The focus nowadays is largely on technique and stability (and you don’t necessarily need slow, peaceful music to do this). In fact, with classes already having instructors constantly talking loudly, you might as well add something upbeat to the noise! A bit of commercial pop, deep house or R&B works great.
Searching on Spotify and SoundCloud you will find many playlists when you search under Pilates or yoga.
